Labcorp Provides Notification of Data Incident

Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (“Labcorp”) is providing notice of an incident that involved certain individuals’ information.

Between July 9 and July 11, 2023, Labcorp inadvertently sent certain faxes intended for a recipient designated by a patient or an ordering provider to an incorrect fax number. On July 10, 2023, Labcorp was made aware of the isolated technical error that resulted in certain faxes being sent to an incorrect fax number.

The fax included a copy of individuals’ laboratory test results along with name, date of birth, address and medical record number. No financial information or Social Security Numbers were included.

While Labcorp has no reason to believe individual information has been or will be improperly used, as good practice, it is recommended that individuals regularly monitor account statements for any irregularities. Additionally, we are offering complimentary, one-year memberships of Experian’s® IdentityWorksSM to affected individuals.
